About Us

Blind Enterprises of Oregon is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to employing blind and visually impaired individuals. Our highly skilled and competent team produces embroidered uniform name and service tapes for military, law enforcement, search and rescue, fire, and surplus organizations. In addition, we manufacture the fabric tape used in our production process.

We have been the primary supplier of name and service tapes for the West Coast U.S. Marine Recruit and Clothing Depots for over 30 years. As a participating member of the federal AbilityOne Program, we are one of over 400 nonprofit agencies providing employment throughout the United States for people who are blind or have other severe disabilities. 

Our mission here at Blind Enterprises is to provide quality employment for blind and visually impaired people by eliminating barriers and affording opportunities for independence, self-reliance and equality in the workplace. We know that they possess the same capability and desire to be as independent and self-reliant as sighted individuals, but rarely do they encounter the opportunity to find gainful, productive employment.
